Administrative Jobs in London- What Should I Do If Made redundant?

Like all sectors of industry and commerce, administration jobs are not immune from redundancy.  But if you have been made redundant from an admin job in London, then you should take heart, there are lots of jobs still available in London and there are still lots of recruitment and employment agencies that can help you find work.

It is very hard to lose your job and many people find that it deals their confidence a real blow; after all there you are, thinking that you are a really valued member of the team, when suddenly the rug is pulled from beneath your feet and you are without a job.

But you need to keep a calm head.  Whilst other people are running round like headless chickens and are very worried about their jobs, how they are going to pay the rent or the mortgage etc, then you needn’t worry: instead all you need to do is to register with a few recruitment agencies, keep an eye out yourself for any vacancies and then simply wait for the job offers to start coming in.

Realistically you may have to take a pay cut: if you have been made redundant, then this is not the time for hard bargaining when it comes to terms and conditions.  It is better to have some kind of job then no kind of job!  It is also easier to find work when you are actually in employment, so take the best offer you can get and from there, try to get better paid work, or work that offers better pay rates.  Don’t be too fussy about what you take to start with; data entry can also be a good route into paid employment.

Stay confident. Redundancy happens to people. It helps shapes them into who they are: it is not like death or serious illness- but it is still a very hard experience, but do not let it grind you down.  You will rise again like a phoenix from the ashes, so hold your head up high and join that recruitment agency today!

Sometimes it is wiser to hand it over to an employment agency to help you find the ideal employer that suits you. All of my experiences with them are successful so far. I think that everyone who is looking for a job can consider approaching an employment agency.
